Making a model and testing the model
I tried to connect the various ancestors on the family tree to try to understand how they were related. I learned then that sometimes the model I devised was not accurate, and was subject to modification, after I had learned new information. For example, in an earlier post, I mentioned a "Hazel" whom I assumed was a daughter of "Auntie Cutler", but no, she turned out not to be a relative, just someone in many family photos (perhaps a friend of the family). I had also assumed that the ancestor of the Israeli family was a sibling of my great-grandmother Chashka. But it took yet another phone call to show me that my model of the family was not quite accurate, and I will tell you all about it in the next post.
